INDIVIDUAL RESIDENCES
Mahalakshmi has installed both rainwater harvesting and greywater treatment systems at her home
Further case studies of individual homes include:
RESIDENTIAL LAYOUTS
Rainbow Drive is an inspiring community that has been able to self-regulate their water consumption through multiple interventions – RWH, reducing demand, and treating and reusing wastewater
Further case studies of residential layouts include:
INSTITUTIONS
Biome carried out a study of the institution campus and designed rainwater storage and groundwater recharge strategies at SISA Indo-Swiss Academy School
Further case studies of institutions include:
INDUSTRIES
The company explored rainwater harvesting measures with Biome in an attempt to achieve water security to support its population of 8000 and its daily water demand of around 200 KL
GREYWATER TREATMENT AND REUSE
Installed in 2014, the greywater treatment system feeds the garden in Ravi Iyer’s residence. Even during parching summers, the garden and lawn get water that would otherwise have wasted away in the city’s drains.
Further case studies of greywater treatment at houses include:
FLOOD AND SEEPAGE MANAGEMENT
Safina Towers had been facing a seepage problem in their lower basement almost since the buildings were constructed. Biome designed open wells to intercept the subsurface flow that eliminated the seepage and also provides water to the office complex
FARM WATER MANAGEMENT
Recharge wells in the farm helped in accessing water for most of the year at Sanjeev Patil’s permaculture farm.
TRAINING AND CAPACITY BUILDING

- Rainwater Harvesting workshop at Bellandur
Some of the clients for awareness trainings / capacity buildings conducted by Biome include
Harman International, Alstom, Siemens, Tata Solar, Bellandur RWAs, Ferns Residency layout, Shantiniketan layout, etc
